French History, vintage silver print glossy 8.5 x 11.5 inch fiber photograph "Statue of Nominoë, Brittany, 1970s."
Nominoë (Nevenoe in Breton, Nomenoius or Numenoius in Latin, in French the Nominoé spelling is also used), born about 800, died on March 7, 851 near Vendôme, was ruler of Britain from 845 to 851. He was responsible for the birth of a Britain united and independent, hence the qualifier father of the Fatherland ("Tad ar Vro") which it historian Arthur de La Borderie the nineteenth century.
Printed in the second half of the 20th century as part of the American Heritage Publishing Archive.
Verso bears original filing notations and credit stampings in both French and English. In very good condition.
