French History, vintage silver print glossy 7.75 x 6.5 inch fiber photograph depicting "View of the interior courtyard of Jacques Coeur's house in Bourges."
Born in Bourges some time around the year 1400, Jacques Coeur rapidly rose to the top of the social ladder. After his appointment as Finance Minister to the King and being made a nobleman, he began the construction of his Palace, which was finished around 1450.
Printed in the second half of the 20th century as part of the American Heritage Publishing Archive.
Verso bears original filing notations and credit stampings in both French and English. In very good condition.
