Thomas Edison (February 11, 1847 - October 18, 1931), iconic American inventor and businessman of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, authentic, unsigned vintage 4.75 x 7 inch candid photograph. Edison is credited with the creation of numerous devices that influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera and the first long-lasting practical electric light bulb.
This photo depicts Edison speaking with United States Senator Benjamin Tillman of South Carolina. The photograph bears an Edison copyright on the front, as well as well as a stamp on the reverse. Additionally, the reverse has pencil notations that dated the photo as "Neg. 251" from June 10, 1915.
This classic, vintage photograph is in fine condition, aside from a few minor creases to the corners.
