Frances Marion Dee (November 26, 1909 – March 6, 2004), American actress, original, vintage, promotional postcard produced by De Reszke Cigarettes, Godfrey Phillips Associated Brands.
Dee starred opposite Maurice Chevalier in the early talkie musical, Playboy of Paris (1930). She starred in the film An American Tragedy (1931) in a role later recreated by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1951 re-titled remake, A Place in the Sun.
The tobacco manufacturers took advantage of cinema's popularity during this era and produced numerous cigarette card sets on the topic featuring the rising film stars.
The vintage postcard, measuring 3.5 x 5 inches, is in fine condition with slight signs of age. Verso bears original printed postcard graphics, set number and individual biographical information.
