John & Jacqueline Kennedy

John F. Kennedy (29 May 1917- 22 November 1963),  thirty-fifth President of the United States, original, collection of vintage, unsigned 5" x 5" glossy color candid photographs with First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, during their trip to Bogota, Columbia in 1961.

Arguing that "those who make peaceful revolution impossible, will make violent revolution inevitable,"Kennedy sought to contain the perceived threat of communism in Latin America by establishing the Alliance for Progress, which sent aid to some countries and sought greater human rights standards in the region.

Photographs are in fine condition and come from the estate of former Military Aide to The President, Chester Clifton.
