Original Wanted Sheet reading: "Fresno, Calif. June 8, 1921. Wanted for Murder / Wong Tuck Jick, a member of the Suey on Society, wanted for the murder of a member of the Bing Kong Society. Wong Tuck Jick is described as a 32 years of age; tall and slim; is very pale and looks like a hophead. At the time of the murder he was dressed with white shirt, dark trousers and straw hat We hold felony warrant for this man and $500.00 reward is offered for his capture and conviction by the Bing Kong Society Please do all you can to locate this man and wire any information at our expense either to Frank P. Truax, chief of police or W.F. Jones, Sherriff / Fresno, Calif. Bulletin 58, Page 12." Accompanied by stapled photograph (stapled to sheet).
From the collection of Police Chief Michael Webb (1950-2009). Webb joined the Vinita Park, Missouri police force in 1974 and served until his death in 2009, during which time he purchased crime artifacts from relatives of criminals and law officers. Boasting more than 8,000 wanted posters, pieces of Webb’s collection have been featured in film and displayed at the National Crime and Punishment Museum in Washington.
Measuring approximately 8 x 10 inches, sheet exhibits the expected signs of wear and age.
