Official printed bulletin of the French Grand Army, authentic, document. This four page document is approximately 8" x 9"  in size and is dated May 8, 1807. It contains very interesting details. These official bulletins were widely spread to the French citizenry informing them of important battles of the French Army as well as other military and political news.

The first page of the bulletin, issued by the printing house of Maudet, is headlined "Official News of Constantinople".

Information is given in the bulletin dated March 25, 1807, where the Turks have seized a Russian fort and the English suffered a defeat at the Dardenelles. The English are very dissatisfied with the engagements they have had with the Turks, etc. There are also many other details taken as extracts from the newspaper "The Moniteur", from letters dated February 9, 11, 20 and 22, 1807 from places such as Bucharest and elsewhere.

This untranslated, printed document is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting any of the wording. The pages are held together at the left margin affixed to a stock piece of paper.
