USS Constitution (1797) United States Navy sailing frigate and the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat, vintage 8 x 10 inch glossy silver print fiber photograph, depicting the ship sailing in Boston Harbor in 1973. Constitution is best remembered for her actions in the War of 1812, where she captured numerous merchant ships and defeated five British warships, actions which earned her the nickname of "Old Ironsides". Printed in the second half of the 20th century as part of the American Heritage Publishing Archive.
Verso bears credit stampings and filing notations. In very good condition.
