John & Jacqueline Kennedy

John F. Kennedy (29 May 1917- 22 November 1963),  thirty-fifth President of the United States,  original, vintage, unsigned  8"x10" glossy black and white candid photograph picturing a smiling President Kennedy and First Lady Jackie opening gifts at his last birthday party.

The President's birthday party was given on May 29, 1963, by White House staff, Mrs. Kennedy, assistants David Powers and Kenneth O'Donnell and others, taking place in the White House Navy Mess Hall.  In the photo, Kennedy is reading a card on gag gift from Jackie, a basket of grass from the old White House Rose Garden.  David Powers, Kennedy's close friend and aide, stands to Jackie's left in the photo.
