Jean Parker; born Luise Stephanie Zelinska (August 11, 1915 – November 30, 2005), American film and stage actress, vintage 8 x 10 glossy double-weight keybook photograph. Credited to Columbia Pictures photographer A.L. "Whitey" Schafer.
Parker landed her first screen test while still in high school. She acted opposite such well-known actors as Katharine Hepburn, Robert Donat, Edward G. Robinson, Randolph Scott and Laurel and Hardy.
Schafer is perhaps best remembers for his "Thou Shalt Not" image entered in the 1941 Academy Awards Still Show, but he was Paramount's chief photographer from 1941-1951, and before that, head of Columbia's stills department.
Verso bears original Schafer credit stamping, publicity snipe and filing notations. In very good condition with mild discoloration.
