19th Century Europe, two 19th century mounted albumen photographs. One image bears a view of Dryburgh Abbey, located on the banks of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, and the second, a shot of Abbortsford, a historic country house in the Scottish Borders, at the town of Galashiels, near Melrose, on the south bank of the River Tweed. It was formerly the residence of historical novelistand poet, Walter Scott.
Each measuring approximately 5 x 8 and affixed to an 11 x 14 mount, these photographs are in very good condition, with light toning, rippling and an adhesive strip along the left edge.
