Original vintage double-sided Wanted Posters, affixed to a slightly larger album page. Poster on front reads: "$500.00 Reward / For information leading to the discovery of Clara Von Senden...wife of Ernest Raban Von Senden...last heard from in San Francisco, California, October 22, 1908, a reward of $500 will be paid...," posted by Captain Stephen B. Wood, Commanding Detective Bureau, Chicago, Illinois.
Pinkerton Agency flier affixed to verso folds out, offering a "$1000.00 Reward to Police Authorities, Jewelers, Loan Offices and Pawnbrokers," listing a plethora of "watch cases" which "were stolen on Friday, April 21, 1911..."
Posters bears the official stamp: "Office Chief of Police, San Francisco, Cal, May (2,3) 1911, Hall of Justice."
From the collection of Police Chief Michael Webb (1950-2009). Webb joined the Vinita Park, Missouri police force in 1974 and served until his death in 2009, during which time he purchased crime artifacts from relatives of criminals and law officers. Boasting more than 8,000 wanted posters, pieces of Webb’s collection have been featured in film and displayed at the National Crime and Punishment Museum in Washington.
Measuring approximately 10 x 12, poster exhibits the expected toning, age wear, some tearing and rippling.
