Original Wanted Poster from the "Police Department, Vallejo, California / Arrest for Murder / Gee Soon...Nativity, China...This man shot and killed Chow Mee, in this city on the night of December 30, 1917, and escaped in a waiting automobile. This was a cold blooded murder that was committed without any provocation whatsoever...," posted by "William T. Stanford, Chief of Police, Dated January 3, 1918."
From the collection of Police Chief Michael Webb (1950-2009). Webb joined the Vinita Park, Missouri police force in 1974 and served until his death in 2009, during which time he purchased crime artifacts from relatives of criminals and law officers. Boasting more than 8,000 wanted posters, pieces of Webb’s collection have been featured in film and displayed at the National Crime and Punishment Museum in Washington.
Measuring approximately 8.5 x 11, poster is in very good condition, with light toning and an adhesive strip along right edge on verso.
