John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy (29 May 1917- 22 November 1963),  thirty-fifth President of the United States,  original, vintage, unsigned 8x10 glossy black and white candid photograph picturing President Kennedy seated aboard the USS  Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. watching the America's Cup race. Kennedy is seated comfortably and uses binoculars to get a better view of the race.  In the photo,  Kennedy is viewing the first of the 1962 America's Cup races off Newport, Rhode Island on September 15, 1962.

On the photo's reverse side, Dave Powers, Kennedy's aide and close personal friend, has penned in blue ink "America's Cup Newport  Sept 15, 1962. Provenance: Photograph originates from the estate of Dave Powers (April 25, 1912 – March 27, 1998).
