Extracted from the pages of a 1902 Autograph Calendar book recovered from Orange Memorial Hospital, New Jersey, Garrison added the following quote to a page with the printed date of November 12: "How can we be greatly moved by the assassination of a President when we read, almost daily, with un-concern of the burning of American citizens at the stake? Wendell Phillips Garrison."

Overall light toning, a professionally repaired tear at the top edge and a rough left edge from extraction, otherwise fine condition.
