James Dickey

Authentic autographed vintage First Day Cover hand signed by James Dickey, American poet and novelist (1923-1997). Along with teaching and writing, Dickey was named a poetry consultant for the Library of Congress. He was also invited to read his poem “The Strength of Fields” at President Jimmy Carter's inauguration in 1977. His popularity exploded after the film version of his novel Deliverance was released in 1972.
