Harry S. Truman

Harry S. Truman (May 8, 1884 – December 26, 1972), 33rd President of the United States (1945–53), authentic, autograph collection complete in matte and frame for a finished size of 25 x 33 inches. 

The collection includes:

One Dollar Bill signed "Harry S. Truman." Silver Certificate, $1 bill, series 1935C, engraved with the signatures "W.A. Julian / Treasurer of the United States" and "John W. Snyder / Secretary of the Treasury." Uncirculated. In fine condition.

Photograph signed "Harry S. Truman" on the matte. 6 x 4.5 inches (visible), 8.5 x 7.75 inches (overall). In fine condition.

White House envelope addressed by Truman to "Sec. of Treas / Personal." Opened at flap. In fine condition.

Partly printed document signed "Leslie L. Biffle" as Secretary of the Senate. Noted in type as "copy" but personally signed. Headed: "In Executive Session, Senate of the United States / Tuesday June 11, 1946." In full: "Resolved, that the Senate advise and consent to the appointment of the following-named person to the office named agreeably to his said nomination: Department of the Treasury. John W. Snyder to be Secretary of the Treasury." Gold seal of the United States Senate, 2 inch diameter, affixed onto green ribbon. In fine condition.

"The Buck Stops Here" sign reproduction from the Harry S. Truman Library & Museum. According to the Library "On more than one occasion President Truman referred to his desk sign in public statements. For example, in an address at the National War College on December 19, 1952, Mr. Truman said, 'You know, it's easy for the Monday morning quarterback to say what the coach should have done, after the game is over. But when the decision is up before you - and on my desk I have a motto which says "The Buck Stops Here" - the decision has to be made.'"
