Robert Franklin Stroud (January 28, 1890 – November 21, 1963), more famously and affectionately known as the "Birdman of Alcatraz," federal American prisoner, cited as one of the most notorious and dangerous criminals in American history.

Authentic, autographed, handwritten letter (ALS), two pages, both sides of a single sheet, hand-written and signed in pencil, addressed to "Miss Mamie E. Stroud" dated August 27th, 1945, sent from Alcatraz Prison in CA.
