Honore Charles Michel Joseph Reille

Honore Charles Michel Joseph Reille (1 September 1775 - 4 March 1860), Marshal of France, authentic, autographed letter (LS). The two page letter is approximately 8" x 12" in size and is dated June 1, 1807.

Reille served in teh early campaigns of the French Revolutionary War and later appointed commander of the Italian City of Florence. He commanded the allied troops of Wurttemberg furing the War of the Third Coalition in 1805 and later served also as an Aide-de-Camp to Napoleon at Friedland.

In 1810, Reille was made a Peer of France and in 1847, made a Marshal of France.

This untranslated letter is crisply signed by Reille at the conclusion. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. There are some scattered creases and expected intersecting folds. The bottom left corner also has some minor tears.
