Henry Richard Vassall-Fox, 3rd Baron Holland (21 November 1773 - 22 October 1840), English politician, authentic, autographed annotated letter (ALS). This one page letter measures approximately 4" x 6" in size and is undated.

The letter is written on Japanese paper. In the letter, Vassall-Fox makes an appointment with Lord Auckland and relays compliments for his son's speech. Later, Vassall-Fox and Auckland would conclude an un-ratified treaty with American Commissioners, Monroe and Pinckney in 1806.

Vassall-Fox was an English politician and a major figure in Whig politics in the early 19th century. A grandson of Henry Fox, 1st Baron Holland, and nephew of Charles James Fox, he served as Lord Privy Seal between 1806 and 1807 in the Ministry of All the Talents headed by Lord Grenville. He served as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster between 1830 and 1834 and again between 1835 until his death in 1840, in the Whig administrations of Lord Grey and Lord Melbourne. He is also well known for introducing a bill in parliament which would have abolished the death penalty for the crime of stealing.

This undated letter is crisply signed at the conclusion by Vassall-Fox as 3rd Baron Holland. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. The letter contains some expected fold lines.
