Princess Victoire of France

Princess Marie Louise Therese Victoire (11 May 1733 - 7 June 1799), French Princess and seventh child and fifth daughter to King Louis XV, authentic, autographed manuscript document (DS). The document is approximately 6" x 8" in size and dated February 3, 1792.

Princess Victoire, Daughter of France, was the daughter of King Louis XV and his wife Queen consort Maria Leszczynska. Originally known as Madame Quatrieme, she later became known as Madame Victoire upon the death of her older sister. She was born at the Palace of Versailles and raised at the Abbey of Fontevraud.

Considered by many to be the most beautiful of all of the King's daughters, Princess Victoire never married. It is also often said that the lavish travels and lifestyles of the King's daughters helped to spark the flames of the French Revolution. 

This two page, untranslated document is crisply signed on the front by Madame Victoire. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. The reverse side of the document details some monetary expenditures. The document contains scattered creases and expected intersecting folds. In addition to the document, an engraved portrait of the Princess is included. The portrait is approximately 6" x 8" in size and is in good to very condition.
