Henry Peter Brougham, 1st Baron Brougham and Vaux (19 September 1778 - 7 May 1868), British statesman, autographed manuscript document (DS). This one page document measures approximately 3" x 6" in size and is dated August 19, 1833.

Brougham was a British statesman who helped to found the "Edinburgh Review" in 1802 as a young lawyer. He also was one of the founders of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge in 1825 and the University College London in 1826. He served as Lord Chancellor from 1830 to 1834, effecting many legal reforms to speed procedure and establish the Central Criminal Court. 

This document is crisply signed by Brougham. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. There are some scattered creases and expected intersecting folds.
