David Ximenes

David Ximenes (1777 - 1848), prominent British Army officer and magistrate of the early 19th century, authentic autographed vintage manuscript document (DS), dated February 15, 1814. The document is titled "1st Battalion 2nd Regiment - Supplementary Estimate from 25th December 1812 to 24th December 1813."

Ximenes was a descendant of Cardinal Ximenes de Cisneros, the Grand Inquisitor and served at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

Approximately 7.5" x 12" in size.  Expected light age wear, otherwise fine condition.
