Cesar Chavez

Cesar Chavez, (March 31, 1927 – April 23, 1993), American farm worker, labor leader and civil rights activist, autographed, original "Professors Academic Membership 1966, National Farm Workers Association" membership card. Chavez was the co-founder of the Association, and hand signed each membership card. This membership card was never filled in with a member name but was hand signed by Chavez in advance of a member signing up for the Association.

Accompanying this wonderful Chavez autographed card is the original transmittal letter from LeRoy Chatfield introducing the Association and donation dues to a prospective Professor. Card and letter are both in fine condition.
