Ernest Neal Lyon

Ernest Neal Lyon (1873 - November 26, 1907), American writer, autographed vintage handwritten quotation (AQS). A Massachusetts native, Lyon's work could be found in The Outlook, McClure's, Success and Ladies's Home Journal.

Extracted from the pages of a 1902 Autograph Calendar book recovered from Orange Memorial Hospital, New Jersey, Lyon added the following quote to a page with the printed date of April 5: "'Only a tired toiler / Can taste sleep's glad release / Only a soul that suffers / Can give to another peace!' / Ernest Neal Lyon."

Measuring approximately 7.75 x 5, this autographed quotation is in overall fine condition, with light toning and a rough left edge from extraction.
