$995.00 - Product is currently out of stock.
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond "Liz" Taylor, (February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011), British-American actress, authentic, autographed 7 x 9 inch glossy photograph.
As one of the world's most famous film stars, Taylor was recognized for her acting ability and for her glamorous lifestyle, beauty, and distinctive violet eyes. She has been called the "greatest movie star of all." She was launched into public awareness by MGM and a string of successful films, many of which are today considered "classics." Her resulting celebrity made her into a Hollywood icon, as she set the "gold standard" for Hollywood fame, and "created the model for stardom."
This vintage, authentic glossy 7 x 9 photograph depicts Taylor signing autographs for Italian soldiers, signed in fountain pen at its bottom center “Best wishes, Elizabeth Taylor.” In fine condition with slight signs of age wear and trimmed edges. Its verso bears original photographer credit stamp in Italian. This image predates the frenzy caused by Taylor’s affair in Italy with Richard Burton less than a decade later, during the making of ‘Cleopatra,’ where the word ‘paparazzi’ was literally created because of the Italian press’s fervent pursuit of the pair.
