Chuck Yeager

Chuck Yeager (b. February 13, 1923), noted test pilot and retired Major General in the United States Air Force, autographed 8x10 photograph. In 1947, Yeager was the first pilot to travel faster than the speed of sound. He did so while piloting the experimental Bell X-1 at Mach 1 speed at an altitude of 45,000 feet. He flew in both World War II and Vietnam. Yeager's fame also rose in the 1980's when he was portrayed in the book and film "The Right Stuff." This vintage black and white photo is autographed by Yeager and is in excellent condition.
