Horatio Wright (March 6, 1820-July 2, 1899), Civil War Union Army general and notable post-war engineer, original Carte-de-visite photograph. Published by John Goldin & Co. of Washington, D.C.
Wright took command of the VI Corps in May 1864 following the death of General John Sedgwick. Following the war, he was involved in a number of engineering projects, including the Brooklyn Bridge and the completion of the Washington Monument
Approximately 2.5 x 4 inches in size, this Carte-de-visite photograph is in good condition, aside from a slight touch of expected aging.
