Meserve pens a note to "Bill," in full: "I promised you that I would send a photograph of Elisha Kent Kane, because I think you said he was an ancestor of yours. This is printed from a Brady negative. Give my love to the lovely baby. Yrs as ever, Fred Meserve."
Letter in very good condition, with the expected mailing folds, mild toning and scattered light wrinkling. CDV in fine condition, and printed photograph in fine condition, with a few mild surface marks.
