John & Jacqueline Kennedy

John F. Kennedy (29 May 1917- 22 November 1963),  thirty-fifth President of the United States,  original, vintage, unsigned "8"x10" glossy black and white candid photograph picturing President Kennedy and First Lady Jackie aboard the USS Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. watching the 1962 America's Cup races off Newport, Rhode Island in September, 1962. Kennedy and the First Lady stand at the rail to get a better view of the race.

Accompanying this beautiful image, of the iconic first couple from behind, is the original negative and negative envelope. Also included is the original storage envelope used by David Powers. The envelope is an official printed "John F. Kennedy Library Foundation" envelope and has been labeled in the hand of Powers "SEPT 18, 1962 - Jack and Jackie - America Cup Race".

In the lower left corner of the photograph and on the negative envelope, are identification labels (one typed, one written by hand in ink) which have been affixed by Dave Powers, Kennedy's aide and close personal friend.  The labels reads, "Sept. 18, 1962  Newport R.I.  Watching race aboard J.P. Kennedy Jr." Provenance: Photograph originates from the estate of Dave Powers (April 25, 1912 – March 27, 1998).
