Edward Anthony

Edward Anthony (January 31, 1819 – December 14, 1888), American photographer and co-founder of E. & H. T. Anthony & Company, collection of autographed vintage ephemera. Anthony wasn't so much known for his personal photography as he was for being the premier manufacturer and distributor of photographic supplies in the United States in his time. He was also known for his close business associations with famed Civil War-era photographer, Mathew Brady.

Three pieces of vintage photography-related ephemera, including an autographed typed letter (TLS), one page, dated September 9, 1897, composed on E. & H. T. Anthony & Co. Photographic Materials and Supplies letterhead; a partly-printed receipt from E. & H. T. Anthony & Co. Photographic Materials and Supplies, dated April 28, 1896, and a printed slip from the "Office of Anthony's Photographic Bulletin / 122-124 Fifth Avenue."

Measuring approximately 6 x 8.5, this collection of ephemera is in overall fine condition, with the expected light age wear.
